About the Speaker

Molly Catalano is a communications specialist with over 20 years of experience in the restaurant industry, the majority of which has been with Five Guys. She convinced the owners of Five Guys to hire her, in the hope of securing a fun temporary job while she completed her MBA. Almost 18 years later, that “temporary job” has turned into a career where she leads the marketing and communication efforts for the company. 

During Molly’s time with Five Guys, the company has grown from 30 restaurants on the East Coast of the United States to 1700 locations in over 20 countries. Her biggest success has been in navigating the internal communications needs of a rapidly growing company with many stakeholders. Molly earned her Bachelor’s Degree from James Madison University with a Public Relations focus and then earned her MBA from George Mason University with a focus on Finance. 

Molly lives in Northern Virginia with her husband Chris, also a Mason alumnus, three daughters, and two large dogs.
