The Costello College of Business at George Mason University and the Deloitte Foundation Collaborate to Fund Scholarships for Aspiring CPAs

Body

The Costello College of Business at George Mason University is proud to announce its collaboration with the Deloitte Foundation through the Deloitte Foundation Accounting Scholars Program (DFASP). Starting fall 2025, this collaboration is expected to provide 10 full tuition scholarships to George Mason University students who intend to become CPAs after pursuing their master’s degree in accounting at the Costello College of Business.

DFASP offers academic scholarships (excluding books and living expenses) to the selected students, determined by the Costello School of Business, and the scholarship can help students meet the 150-credit-hour requirement necessary for CPA eligibility.

The Deloitte Foundation grant provides college scholarships to help economically disadvantaged students attend college and stay on track with their career intentions. Each Deloitte Foundation Scholar needs to demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and financial need.

“The Costello College of Business remains focused on enhancing student experience and career readiness via public, private, and academic partnerships,” said JK Aier, senior associate dean for academic affairs and global engagement. “Our participation in DFASP can help support learners from all socioeconomic backgrounds in our accounting program by providing them with financial resources to continue their education and transition from being an undergraduate student to becoming a practitioner and leader in the accounting profession.”
